A Once-in-a-Lifetime Gathering at Taliesin

An evening of music in architecture, created to bring our community together in the place Frank Lloyd Wright called home.

The Taliesin Experience is unlike any architecture gathering we’ve ever created.

For years, we’ve gathered at conferences. We’ve learned. We’ve networked. But the moments that stay with us are never the schedules or the sessions. They’re the quiet conversations. The shared meals. The laughter before and after the agenda. The moments when something shifts inside us and reminds us why we love this profession and the community that surrounds it.

If you’ve been craving a deeper connection to architecture, to community, and to the reasons you chose this profession in the first place, this experience was created for you. Seats are intentionally limited, and when they’re gone, this gathering will exist only in memory.

This evening is built entirely around those moments.

There are no breakout rooms.

No vendor hall.

No pressure to perform.

Instead, this is an invitation to slow down, to be present, and to reconnect with one another in a place that has shaped architectural thinking for generations.

This is also a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. The Taliesin Experience is intentionally small, carefully curated, and will not be repeated. It exists for this moment, for this community, and for those who choose to be part of it.

The experience follows Taliesin’s formal tradition with a private reception, dinner, and concert held on the grounds of Taliesin in Spring Green, Wisconsin. The evening features a live performance by James Ray Polk and The Mississippi Sawyers, inspired by the work and legacy of Frank Lloyd Wright.

Frank Lloyd Wright believed architecture should be felt, not explained. He understood rhythm, harmony, movement, and pause. Experiencing Taliesin through music allows us to engage the architecture the way he intended, emotionally, physically, and intuitively.

Guests will experience Taliesin as it was meant to be experienced, where music, shared stories, and thoughtful conversation create a lasting connection to place, to one another, and to the creative spirit that brought us to architecture in the first place.

Planning Your Visit to Taliesin

Many members are choosing to turn The Taliesin Experience into a full architectural getaway.

While travel and lodging are not included in your ticket, we’re sharing a few recommended places to stay to help you begin planning. Spring Green is a small village, and accommodations are limited, so we encourage early booking.

Preferred Hotel: The Spring Valley Inn
6279 County Road C, Spring Green, WI 53588
(608) 588-7828
https://www.springvalleyinn.com

Designed by longtime Frank Lloyd Wright apprentice Charles Montooth, The Spring Valley Inn offers perhaps the strongest architectural connection to Taliesin itself. The building reflects how Wright’s first-generation apprentices interpreted his design principles, making the hotel part of the experience.

With 35 rooms, an indoor pool, sauna, bar, and generous gathering spaces, it provides both comfort and design immersion just minutes from Taliesin.

The Round Barn Lodge
E4830 US HWY 14, Spring Green, WI 53588
(608) 588-2568
https://www.roundbarnlodge.com

For a more relaxed, local Wisconsin atmosphere, The Round Barn Lodge offers a budget-friendly option. The original historic round barn anchors the property, with guest rooms designed by Wright apprentice Jim Pfeffercorn.

Located in the village of Spring Green, the lodge features an indoor pool, a restaurant, and informal gathering spaces, making it ideal for community connection beyond the event itself.

More Lodging Options

In addition to these recommended properties, several smaller inns, bed and breakfasts, and short-term rentals are available in and around Spring Green. Airbnb and VRBO options are also available for those who prefer private accommodations or group stays. We encourage early booking, as lodging in the area is limited.

Additional local recommendations and guidance will be provided to registered attendees.
